A Surprise Boygenius Reunion
The excitement continued this past Thursday during the first of a three-night residency at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Following her performance of “On Video,” Bridgers surprised the audience by bringing out her boygenius bandmates, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. The trio performed “Not Strong Enough” and “Cool About It,” marking their first collaborative appearance since the 2024 Grammy weekend.
Bridgers greeted the crowd with a playful “Surprise, bitch!” as her bandmates took the stage. The appearance was a highlight for fans, especially given that Baker and Dacus had been spotted in the same venue just the night before while attending a New York Liberty game. Earlier that day, the pair had also been seen participating in a protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outside the UN General Assembly, standing alongside figures like Hannah Einbinder and Susan Sarandon.
