Overmono Team Up With Kindora For New Single “Even Angels Ghost”

The acclaimed Welsh dance duo Overmono, comprised of brothers Tom and Ed Russell, are gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated new album, Pure Devotion, arriving later this summer. Following the success of their lead single “Lockup,” the pair has returned with a new offering: the thumping, hypnotic track “Even Angels Ghost,” which features a guest appearance from Tennessee-based singer Kindora.

The creative partnership between the artists began after Overmono discovered Kindora’s music on Bandcamp. Her distinct vocal style previously graced their 2022 tracks “Gunk” and “Cold Blooded,” the latter of which was a standout on their 2023 debut album Good Lies. Reflecting on the collaboration, Tom Russell noted, “We’re always drawn towards a particular tone in vocals, and hers is pretty much like the pinnacle.” These initial samples blossomed into a genuine creative friendship, allowing the trio to work directly on “Even Angels Ghost,” where the duo masterfully weaves her vocals into the track’s intricate production.

Kindora describes the song as a deeply personal reflection, stating, “’Even Angels Ghost’ is me being vulnerable and doing boy math as per usual. I am a very outgoing but also extremely shy person, and I get in my head about every interaction. But when I’m with Overmono, I feel like I’m the third brother. They really are the best. I love working with them. I really appreciate their artistry and commitment to making good music.”

Pure Devotion is set for release on August 7 via XL Recordings.
