Two Shell Surprise Fans With New ‘Infinite Now+’ EP

Two Shell continues to lean into their reputation for being delightfully unpredictable. The London-based dance duo, known for their pranksterish approach to electronic music, has just released an out-of-nowhere EP titled Infinite Now+. This surprise drop arrives shortly after the announcement of their upcoming album, Infinity Now, which has already garnered attention for its distinct, Y2K-inspired aesthetic.

While the duo had been steadily rolling out singles throughout the year—including the infectious, ultra-catchy track “Thing About You”—the arrival of Infinite Now+ adds a new layer to their current output. The EP consists of five tracks that are notably absent from the upcoming full-length album, further cementing the group’s penchant for keeping their audience on their toes.

A standout moment on the project is “The Nightmare [1],” a reimagined version of a song the duo released earlier this year. According to the official press release, this iteration is the “highly requested version” that was famously played during their residency at the London club Phonox. The track features strained, emotive vocals that many have speculated belong to Jack Harlow, who was a guest during the residency. It is a curious, high-energy fusion that blends house-diva sensibilities with the neo-soul-inflected style associated with the rapper.

The remainder of the EP is rounded out by two brief, interstitial intros and a pair of hyperactive, chopped-up tracks that lean heavily into Y2K-era sugar-rush pop and Euro-club influences. It is a fun, frenetic collection that serves as a bridge while fans wait for the full album release this fall.

With the Infinite Now+ EP now available via Young, the duo has signaled that this is merely the beginning of a busy season. A press release promises “infinitely more coming sooner than you might think,” suggesting that Two Shell plans to keep the momentum going throughout the summer months.
