Kelly Osbourne to Chronicle Grief and Mental Health in New Documentary

Following the profound loss of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025, Kelly Osbourne has announced plans to share her journey through grief and mental health in an upcoming three-part documentary series. The project aims to provide an intimate look at the challenges she has faced while navigating life after such a significant family tragedy.

In a recent interview, Osbourne reflected on the physical and emotional toll that the grieving process took on her. She candidly discussed a period of dramatic weight loss that occurred in the months following her father’s passing. Osbourne admitted that she was initially unaware of the severity of her physical transformation until she was being fitted for a dress for the Grammy Awards in February 2026.

“I looked like the fucking Crypt Keeper,” Osbourne told the publication. “I said, ‘This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this’. My spine – you could see every single bone… I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person.”

The star explained that the weight loss was a direct result of the overwhelming nature of her grief, which often left her feeling too nauseous to eat. “You’re filled with so much pain that the feeling of hunger can’t even pop up,” she noted. Despite these internal struggles, Osbourne remained focused on protecting her son, Sidney, from the weight of her sorrow, choosing instead to share positive moments with him, such as visiting his grandfather’s resting place.

Osbourne, who was supported by her mother, Sharon Osbourne, during this difficult time, believes that sharing her story is a necessary step in her healing process. By producing this documentary, she hopes to shed light on the complexities of grief and mental health, offering a perspective that many may not be aware of. “I’m going to do a three-part documentary series on grief and mental health and what I went through and tell my story because there’s a lot that people don’t know,” she shared.

As she continues to navigate her recovery, the documentary promises to be a raw and honest account of resilience in the face of loss.
