Not only are Twisted Teens one of the most energizing, charming, and straight-up exciting new rock bands to break out this year, they are also one of the most prolific. The New Orleans duo has already dropped two acclaimed albums in 2026: February’s Blame The Clown and July’s Florida Water Blues. After weeks of teasing a follow-up, the band has officially announced their third new album this year, The Holy Cross Tigers.
With this latest project, band members Caspian Halliwell and RJ Santos are making the leap to the storied Seattle indie label Sub Pop. The duo has described the upcoming record as their very own Blood On The Tracks, a comparison that highlights the emotional weight and narrative focus of the new material. The lead single, “When We First Met,” offers a glimpse into that thematic direction. It carries the same unstoppable, ragtag momentum that fans have come to expect from the group, while finding Halliwell reflecting wistfully on the early days of a romance that has since soured.
