Canadian hard rock legends Triumph have unexpectedly canceled all 17 shows for the second leg of their 2026 reunion tour, which was originally scheduled to commence in November. The band issued a formal statement via social media, citing “sudden and unexpected medical circumstances affecting the band” as the primary reason for the cancellation. The tour was slated to begin on Nov. 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and conclude on Dec. 19 in London, Ontario.
Fans who purchased tickets for the affected dates are advised that refunds will be processed automatically through the original point of purchase. The band expressed deep regret over the short notice, noting that the medical situation has made it impossible to proceed with the necessary rehearsals and performances required for the “Rock and Roll Machine Reloaded” concerts.
Addressing the Medical Challenges
While the band has not specified which members are facing health issues, guitarist and vocalist Rik Emmett recently spoke about his own personal health journey in an interview with Talkin’ Bout Rock. Emmett revealed that he has been navigating a challenging summer, including a diagnosis of alopecia areata, which resulted in significant hair loss. Despite these personal hurdles, Emmett emphasized that his overall health remains strong and that he feels capable of performing.
“Your support means more than we can put into lyrics, especially during a difficult time like this. Thankfully, the outlook is positive, and we will be back on stage with you as soon as possible.”
The group expressed profound gratitude for the “unwavering support” of their fanbase, promising that they intend to return to the stage as soon as circumstances allow. For now, the focus remains on the health and well-being of the band members as they navigate this difficult period.
