The Australian-born, New Zealand-based folk artist Jazmine Mary is set to return with a new project. Following the critical success of last year’s striking album I Want To Rock And Roll, Mary has officially announced her upcoming LP, Country Milk, which is scheduled for release on November 27. The announcement of Country Milk marks a swift and creative follow-up for the artist, who noted on social media that the record was crafted during a singular, intense month of collaboration with her loved ones.
Despite the “manic” creative process described by the artist, the lead single, “Shower Beer,” offers a starkly different energy. The track is a soft, tender folk composition that highlights Mary’s delicate songwriting, featuring contributions from her peers Cass Basil and Vera Ellen. The accompanying music video, directed by Mary herself, captures a slow-motion dance sequence featuring the actor Yvette Parsons.
The tracklist for the upcoming album is as follows:
- 01 “Shower Beer”
- 02 “Bloodline”
- 03 “You’re A Good Man, Girl”
- 04 “Holy Unknowing”
- 05 “Milk”
- 06 “Geese”
- 07 “Bend”
- 08 “Tin Of Fish For Breakfast” (feat. Vera Ellen)
