Slayer fans will have two more opportunities this year to catch the band honoring the 40th anniversary of their iconic Reign in Blood album. The legendary thrash metal group has officially announced two additional tour dates in Los Angeles and Minneapolis for later this year.
The reunited rockers had already confirmed two other appearances for 2026, though both were tied to major music festivals. On Sept. 6, the band is set to revisit the classic album as part of the Rocklahoma festivities in Pryor, Oklahoma, while Oct. 24 will see them saluting the record at the Texas stop of the Sick New World festival in Fort Worth.
New Slayer ‘Reign in Blood’ Tour Stops
The two newly announced dates are standalone performances rather than festival appearances. The band is scheduled to perform for a West Coast audience on Nov. 13 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The group had previously teased this appearance with a social media post featuring the Forum illuminated in signature Slayer iconography.
Support for the Los Angeles date will be provided by Cannibal Corpse, the Cavaleras performing Chaos A.D., and Crowbar.
The second new stop is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4, at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This date was similarly teased via a digital roulette wheel that landed on the number 666, with the wheel also featuring the words “Mystic Lake.” For the Minneapolis performance, Suicidal Tendencies, Down, and Hatebreed will provide support.

Tickets for both newly announced shows will go on sale at 10AM local time this Friday, April 24. Fans are encouraged to visit the official Slayer website for comprehensive ticketing details.

The Legacy of ‘Reign in Blood’
Slayer’s third studio album, Reign in Blood, was released on Oct. 20, 1986. While the record was initially delayed due to record label concerns regarding the controversial opening track, “Angel of Death,” it ultimately became the band’s first charting album, peaking at No. 94 on the Billboard 200.
Over the past four decades, the album has cemented its status as a cornerstone of thrash metal. It remains one of the most revered works in the genre, featuring legendary tracks such as “Angel of Death,” “Postmortem,” “Criminally Insane,” and the definitive closer, “Raining Blood.”
