Australian bedroom artist Grace Shaw — aka Mallrat — has announced that her debut album is imminent. Coming in May, Shaw’s album is titled Butterfly Blue and will feature already released singles “Your Love” and last year’s “Rockstar.” Along with the news, Shaw has shared another album single, a bass-heavy grunge-pop song titled “Teeth.”
“I’ve always valued music that is interesting, beautiful, and unpretentious,” Shaw says of Butterfly Blue. “Something timeless and not reactive. Butterfly Blue was made with that in mind. It’s a demonstration of not pretending to be anyone else.”
