Earlier this month, Dwyane Wade announced his support for his 12-year-old child Zaya coming out as a transgender girl. The open-minded parenting love from Wade and Gabrielle Union drew support from the LGBTQ+ community, but rapper Boosie Badazz wasn't feeling the Wades' decision.

Boosie blasted the Miami Heat legend, saying a 12-year-old isn't fit for that kind of decision in life yet. "That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they don’t even know what they next meal gonna be. They don’t have sh– figured out yet. He might meet a woman, anything, at 16 and fall in love with her. But his d–k gonna be gone," he began.

The Baton Rouge native went on to seemingly confuse gender versus sexuality. "Don’t cut his d–k off, bruh. Like, bruh, for real, if he gonna be gay, let him be gay. But don’t cut his d–k off, bruh. Don’t dress him as a woman, dawg. He’s 12 years old. He’s not up there yet. He hasn’t made his final decisions yet. Don’t cut his f—ing d–k off, Dwyane Wade," the father of eight said.

The controversial comments quickly became a trending topic on social media and resulted in Boosie being heavily criticized. It should also be noted that the Wade family hasn't said anything regarding a gender reassignment surgery for Zaya. "The man is not well and has no business having Dwyane or Zaya’s names in his mouth," one Twitter user wrote.

Wade is expected to delve further into his relationship with Zaya in the ESPN documentary D. Wade: Life Unexpected, which will air on Sunday.
