Papa Roach has announced they will no longer perform at this year’s Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. The band, who were slated to take the stage this Saturday, Sept. 19, made the difficult decision to withdraw following an unexpected health emergency involving their longtime bassist, Tobin Esperance.

"After careful consideration and advice from medical professionals, Papa Roach bassist Tobin Esperance will be unable to perform this weekend due to an unexpected emergency. Therefore, we will not be able to perform at this year’s Louder Than Life festival, and wish everyone the best."
While specific details regarding the nature of the emergency remain private, the band emphasized that Tobin Esperance’s health is their primary concern. The 46-year-old musician has been a core member of the group since 1996.
