Born in 2017, Leadbetter Band has become a fixture in the Pacific Northwest music scene, known for their eclectic blend of rock styles and captivating live performances. Fronted by Eric Leadbetter, whose original songwriting gives the band its foundation, the group has carved out a unique space by merging a vintage rock sound with contemporary, eclectic jam sections. But what really sets them apart is the dual lead vocalists—Leadbetter and bassist Aaron Moore—who bring a memorable and dynamic energy to the stage.
Their music spans a wide spectrum, from hard-hitting rock anthems to bluesy, laid-back grooves. With Aaron Moore on bass and vocals, and Kaleb Kelleher on drums and backup vocals, the rhythm section is tight and polished, grounding the band’s sound in professionalism and precision. Their performances primarily showcase original tracks, though the occasional cover dips into the sacred vault of rock history, paying homage to the legends while staying true to their own style.
Their debut, self-titled album, released in 2019, introduced tracks like the hard-rocking “Grand Misconception” and the blues-infused “Challenge Me.” These songs quickly became fan favorites, defining the band’s versatile style. In 2021, their second full-length album, Howl, further cemented their reputation as a band to watch. Interestingly, both earlier albums featured Patrick Pearsall on bass and Dylan Bernal on drums, showcasing the band’s evolution in sound and personnel over the years.
March 2023 marked a pivotal moment with the release of Cake, produced by Seattle legend Joe Reineke at Temple of the Trees studio. This album captured the band’s growth, layering their vintage rock foundation with a fresh, modern twist.
Leadbetter Band hit the road hard, performing at numerous festivals including the Cascade Equinox, Wieser River, and Klamath Music Festivals. They’ve shared stages with rock icons, opening for ZZ Top at the Britt Amphitheater in 2021, and performing alongside Blues Traveler and Gov’t Mule in the following years.
