Fans have been responding to Glastonbury sharing new names for the 2024 edition, as well as the full line-up and schedule.

The legendary Worthy Farm festival will be taking place later this month, and see headline sets from Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, as well as the likes of Shania Twain, LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz and The National.

The initial wave of acts were confirmed back in March, and since then the organisers have been drip-feeding separate posters for the festival’s many areas and stages – including Left Field, Woodsies, The Glade, the Acoustic Stage, Silver Hayes, The Park, Block9 and The Common.

Now, the festival has shared the schedule details for 2024, and confirmed numerous new acts in the process.

More indie heavyweights have been confirmed too, including Jamie Webster, The StavesThe Zutons and Soft Play (fka Slaves).

Others include Rachel Chinouriri, Femi Kuti, Seasick Steve, Squeeze, Johnny Flynn and many more.

This year, there isn’t a big-name secret act included on the poster – like seen in 2023 with Foo Fighters, who posed under the alias The Churnups – although there is a gap at the Woodsies stage at 6pm on Saturday where the act is still yet to be announced.

“This has made my day!” one user wrote, reacting to Squeeze announcing that they had joined this year’s bill. Another hailed it as “brilliant news”, while a third took to X/Twitter to insist that the band should be headlining.

“Some nice nuggets there,” another wrote following the announcement. “The National into Camelphat to finish, an hour of Jarvis/Alexis before Barry Can’t Swim, can do a bit of The Streets and Orbital, James, Jamie Webster. Some nice gaps for bimbling too, happy days!”

Someone else said: “Friday is just fabulous: Bombay Bicycle Club, PJ Harvey… LCD Soundsystem, Sampha, Dua. This is my plan.”

Additionally, some have taken to X to share their frustration over clashes in set times.

“The worst clashes are all Sunday for me: Jordan vs Alvvays … Romy vs TDCC … and I think I will skip SZA for London Grammar in the end..” one wrote, while another shared: “The clash of Coldplay and Peggy Gou… Different vibes but I wanted to catch both sets in full”.

The final tickets for this year’s bash went on sale in the re-sale on April 21 and sold out in 20 minutes. The last batch consisted of tickets that the original purchasers did not pay the balance on by the cut-off date in early April.

Competition for the tickets was fiercer than ever this year, with organiser Emily Eavis revealing that 2024 had seen the “highest percentage of ticket balances paid” since Glastonbury introduced the payment plan scheme.

Glastonbury 2024 will also see the introduction of a new stage in the Shangri-La area, called Arrivals, which will be dedicated to South Asian talent. Shania Twain will take on the coveted legends slot this year, while K-pop will have its first presence at the festival with a performance from Pledis boyband SEVENTEEN on the Pyramid Stage.
