During a recent conversation with Loudwire Nights host Chuck Armstrong, vocalist Danny Case opened up about the band’s creative journey. He revealed that the process was far from straightforward; at one point, the group made the difficult decision to scrap an entire album’s worth of 16 demos to start fresh, ensuring the final product met their exacting standards.
“We have worked our asses off to get this finished and to get it out,” Case explained. “It’s really rewarding now that the time is here… but it was hell, I’ll tell you that.”
Case further elaborated on the thematic weight of the record, noting, “[Reflections] is very much a representation of the creation of itself for sure. There’s a lot of heaven and hell and trials and tribulations in the music. That is how it was making it.” The band’s commitment to their vision was so absolute that they even financed the final recording sessions out of their own pockets to ensure the sound was exactly what they intended.
This dedication appears to have paid off, as the band has already seen success with singles like “New Disease,” “Drag Me,” “Villain,” and “Die for You” leading up to the release.
