Titled I think I spoke too soon, the album is scheduled for release on October 16. The announcement arrives alongside the lead single, “One song away from crying,” marking a new chapter for the artist as she continues to solidify her place in the modern pop landscape.
Since her debut, Chinouriri has maintained a relentless pace, touring with industry heavyweights like Sabrina Carpenter and Florence + The Machine. She noted that the track serves as a reflection on her journey toward self-discovery, covering complex themes such as her experiences with sobriety, the evolution of her inner and outer worlds, femininity, and the intricacies of her relationships.
Musically, “One song away from crying” functions as a “sequined anthem” for those moments when one feels the need to look the part while struggling internally.
