The reliably energized Toronto pop-punkers PUP have a long history of creating compelling, high-energy visuals, and they continue that tradition today. It has been approximately one year since the band released their acclaimed album Who Will Look After The Dogs?, and it appears that time was well spent. Regular collaborator Sterling Larose has finally unveiled the music video for the album track “Concrete,” and the band has treated fans to a brand-new song as well.
PUP’s latest offering, “If This Is It,” is not a Huey Lewis & The News cover as the title might suggest. Instead, it is a tuneful, high-octane freakout that originated during the Who Will Look After The Dogs? recording sessions. Alongside this release, the band shared the official video for “Concrete,” a dizzying stop-motion collage of fake magazine pages that serves as a nostalgic reminder of the tactile experience of reading about music in print.
Who Will Look After The Dogs? is available now via Rise Records.
