Priscilla Presley and Smashing Pumpkin‘s Billy Corgan are among those leading tributes to Lisa Marie Presley on the second anniversary of her death.

The only daughter of Elvis and sole heir to his estate died at the age of 54 on January 12 2023, after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Calabasas home.

Now, two years on, numerous famous faces have shared their respects online, celebrating her life and recalling how the loss impacted them.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (January 12), her mother Priscilla Presley marked the anniversary with a touching post on Instagram. “‘I miss you more than words can say. I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time,” she wrote alongside a photo of Lisa Marie. “I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.”

Her daughter, actress Riley Keough [Daisy Jones & The Six], also took to Instagram to pay her respects on the anniversary of her death. On her Stories, she shared both sharing a screenshot from a past video call with her mother, along with a throwback photo Lisa Marie with daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood as babies.

“Two years. I love you always,” she wrote in the first post. The second post saw her write: “I can’t believe it’s been two years, I miss you and love you so much mama.” The twins, Harper and Finley are now aged 16.

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan took to his Facebook page to share a photo of Lisa Marie and pay tribute. “Gone two years. Hard to believe,” he wrote in the caption, before adding: “She’s very missed.”

Corgan was among the array of artists who paid their respects to Lisa Marie Presley at her funeral in January 2023.

The memorial service took place on the front lawn of the Presley family’s Graceland home and museum in Memphis, Tennessee. It was initially announced that Presley would be buried at the Graceland site next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died at the age of 27 in 2020. The gardens of Graceland also provide the resting place for Elvis, his parents Vernon and Gladys, and his grandmother Minnie Mae.

Corgan, who collaborated with Presley on 2003’s ‘Savior’, performed ‘To Sheila’ from The Smashing Pumpkins’ 1998 album ‘Adore’ at the service. Before then, he recalled how “This would be sorrow and on more levels than I can count… I truly cannot find the words to express how sad this truly is.”

Others to pay their respects during the 2023 service included Alanis Morissette and Axl Rose. Priscilla led the eulogies, reading a letter penned by Riley Keough. “I have no idea how to put my mother into words. Truth is there are too many”, the letter read. “mama was my icon, my role model. Even now I can’t get across everything there is to be understood and known about her”.

Priscilla also went on to recite a poem written by Keough, titled The Old Soul, which described Lisa Marie as “fragile yet strong”, and touched on her “survivor’s guilt” following Benjamin’s death.

Others paying respects to Lisa Marie on the second anniversary of her death include her half-brother Navarone Garcia – the son of Pricilla and producer Marco Garibaldi. Sharing a photo of them together, he wrote that he “can’t believe it’s been two years” since her death.

“Sending love and thinking of you today. People seem to love to judge or have an opinion on our relationship but I do truly miss the good times we had. When things were harmonious things were great,” the caption read. “[It’s] unfortunate that I even have to bring up the unharmonious times… but ya know somebody’s gonna say something negative (and probably still will anyway) about something I said one time. I love you and miss you sis.”

Presley’s posthumous memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown, was published on October 8 and recalls her time in Graceland as a child, her battle with opioid addiction, the loss of her son Benjamin and more.

To celebrate the release, Riley embarked on a book tour, which saw her pay tribute to her mother and joined by a number of special guests.
