Nobody experienced a glow-up on the music scene quite like Lil Nas X did in 2019. His "Old Town Road" cowboy anthem topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 19 weeks, while he went on to earn six Grammy nominations, one of which includes a nod in the album of the year category for his 7 EP.

His humble beginnings aren't lost on the 20-year-old superstar, as he put his banner campaign in perspective by sharing a video from Jan. 8 of 2019 when he was just an innocent teenager with music-biz dreams who was relatively unknown to the industry.

The clip finds Nas X enjoying a slice of pizza, happy about the fact he just put out "Old Town Road" for his 3,000 Instagram followers. "I'ma hit y'all back a year from now and we'll see where I'm at," he stated.

On Wednesday (Jan. 8), the Atlanta native returned to flex on the 'Gram for a bit, as he rocked a white mink coat and matching sunglasses. Keeping the tradition alive, he chowed down a slice of pizza and listed off his social media and Spotify stats. After thanking everyone that helped fuel his rise, he said he's going to check in again with us in 2030.

Adding to his stack of accolades, Lil Nas X collected another six nominations at the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards, which were revealed Wednesday.
