Following the mixed reception of last year’s More Chaos, the Opium artist Ken Carson is looking to make a definitive statement with his latest project. The Atlanta rapper officially announced today that his new album, Xperiment, is scheduled for release in just two weeks.
Carson has been steadily cultivating anticipation for the project through a series of high-profile festival appearances. During his headlining set at Rolling Loud Orlando last month, he treated fans to a preview of a new track produced by 2hollis, as well as a collaboration with Playboi Carti titled “Cover My Ears.” The duo revisited the track this past weekend during their performance at Chicago’s Summer Smash festival. Looking ahead, Carson is slated to headline ComplexCon in Las Vegas this October. Furthermore, due to recent industry rule changes, he is now eligible for a Grammy nomination in the Best New Artist category.

Xperiment is set for release on July 3 via Opium / Interscope.
