Kelly Osbourne Shares Final Heartfelt Message From Ozzy Before His Passing

In a deeply moving appearance on the We Need to Talk podcast, Kelly Osbourne revealed the intimate and fatherly message that Ozzy Osbourne shared with her shortly before his death. The legendary rocker, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, seemingly possessed a premonition regarding his final days, choosing to spend his remaining time preparing his daughter for the future.

Speaking with host Paul C. Brunson, Kelly reflected on a pivotal conversation that took place just three days before her father’s passing. She noted that Ozzy was remarkably composed, offering guidance and reassurance that has served as a cornerstone for her during her grieving process. “Everything he told me would happen has happened. Everything he warned me of, every person he told me to stay away from, everything,” she shared.

The most poignant moment of their final talk centered on unconditional love. According to Kelly, her father wanted to ensure she felt secure in her worth. “He said, ‘I need you to know something… No matter what happens in this life, you can live the rest of your life knowing that there was one man on this planet that truly loved you for every single thing that you are. And that man is me,'” she recalled.

A Final Farewell

Kelly also credited her mother, Sharon Osbourne, for orchestrating a meaningful conclusion to the rock icon’s career. Just 17 days before his death, Black Sabbath performed a final, legendary concert titled Back to the Beginning. Kelly explained that this performance was essential for her father’s peace of mind.

“My mom allowed him to die the happiest I’d ever seen him,” Kelly stated. “All he wanted before he left this planet was one last show, one more time to be able to let his fans know how grateful he was for the life they allowed him to have and how much he loved them. And to say goodbye.”

Despite the physical toll of his Parkinson’s disease and previous injuries, Ozzy was determined to perform. Kelly admitted that watching his struggle was “insufferable,” yet she recognized that the concert provided the closure he desperately sought. As she continues to navigate her grief, Kelly is currently working on a three-part documentary focused on mental health and the loss of her father, ensuring his legacy and the lessons he imparted remain a guiding light.
