Foals Create Hand-Washing PSA for 'Wash Off' Music Video

A standout from Foals‘ 2019 album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 is the high-energy “Wash Off.”

The group unveiled a new video for the tune on Monday (March 9), and played off the fitting title amid the coronavirus spread by turning the clip into a hand-washing PSA. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, to effectively wash your hands, you must scrub for 20 seconds, which is equal to singing the “Happy Birthday” song twice.

Instead of the “Happy Birthday” song, just sing a part of “Wash Off.” The video shows a pair of hands repeatedly undergoing a thorough scrub, as a timer on the bottom left counts down 20 seconds.
