Usher has weighed in on the rumours about the Glastonbury 2025 line-up, and said that he is wanting to take on a headline slot.
The interview came as the R&B icon recently kicked off his ‘Past, Present, Future’ tour in the US, and is gearing up to bring his live shows over to the UK early next year.
It also comes after he took his career to new heights earlier this year, delivering a mammoth performance at the historic Super Bowl Halftime Show. Taking place on February 11, he took to the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas during the final of the 58th Super Bowl. The night saw the San Francisco 49ers face off against defending champions the Kansas City Chiefs, with the latter ultimately taking the victory.
Now, speaking about how he could hit some more huge milestones going forward, Usher said that he is open to taking on one of the headline slots at next year’s edition of Glasto.
“It could be cool, right?” he told Metro when asked about the idea. “Better yet, maybe I could bring ‘Lovers and Friends’ over there? That could be major too, right?”
The latter part of the comments relates to the song by American rap group Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, which Usher starred in alongside Ludacris.
