Shortly after President Trump issued an airstrike against Iran last week, Cardi B is apparently seeking an escape plan in case of a possible World War between the feuding nations. With hopes of fleeing to Nigeria, the Nigerian government responded to Cardi's tweets with open arms about obtaining citizenship.

"As one in charge of the Diaspora for Ngr, We can't wait to receive you again," tweeted Nigerian government official Abike Dabiri-Erewa. "Our doors are open, sister. And you need to talk a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry. It's an indescribable experience."

Cardi's initial tweets last week included a stab at Trump for his decision to kill Iran's major general Qassem Soleimani. "Naaaaa these memes are f–kin  but s–t ain't no joke ! Specially being from New York," tweeted the "Bodak Yellow" rapper. "Its sad this man is putting Americans live in danger. Dumbest move Trump did till date … I'm filing for my Nigerian citizenship."

Cardi B's disdain for Trump includes her unwavering support for Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders — a candidate she has rallied behind since 2016. "I been reading about Bernie Sanders and I'm really sad how we let him down in 2016," she tweeted last year. "This man been fighting for equal rights, HUMAN rights for such along time. Seeing this country become a better place been really his passion for a long time not a new front for a campaign."
