On his new release, Temptation To Exist, Andrew W.K. returns to the realm of jazz. While he previously explored the genre on his 2009 solo piano record 55 Cadillac, this latest effort offers a more expansive approach, featuring a collection of lush, cinematic full-band instrumentals. The project surfaced unexpectedly on Thursday night via AWKSHARE, a platform reportedly managed by fans.
Currently, the album is available for streaming on YouTube Music, though it has yet to see a wide release across other major digital service providers. While the official @AndrewWK Instagram account appears to be under fan management, it served as the primary source for the album’s announcement, a post which was subsequently shared by Kat Dennings on her own social media channels.
