Following their official disbandment in 2020, iconic deathcore band All Shall Perish has officially cemented their return. After reuniting in 2024 for a series of live performances, the group has now released their first new music in 15 years and launched a Kickstarter campaign for a highly anticipated comeback album, which will serve as the follow-up to 2011’s This Is Where It Ends.
The band debuted a snippet of their new track, “Be As Kings, Be As Gods,” on social media this past Friday, Sept. 4. In a statement to their fanbase, the band expressed their desire to remain independent, stating, “We are nothing without you guys so fk the labels and the bs, let’s do this new album together!! YOU THE LABEL NOW!!!!”
A New Era of Independence
The decision to crowdfund the project stems from a desire to maintain total creative control. The band noted that they are avoiding the traditional label system to avoid the pressures and constraints they faced during their earlier career. “We are crowdfunding a new album because this is the first time in our entire career that we have the opportunity to be 100% independent and funded only by the people who have always been there for us,” the band shared in their campaign description.
The Kickstarter campaign offers 15 tiers of rewards, ranging from a $5 digital download of the new single to a $2,000 tier that includes a day in the studio and a custom microphone. As of this writing, the band has already seen significant support, reaching approximately 26% of their $75,000 goal within the first 24 hours.
Touring and Future Plans
The return of All Shall Perish is not limited to the studio. The band has been active on the road, recently performing at the Big Texas Metal Fest and InkCarceration. Currently, they are in the midst of a tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their second album, 2006’s The Price of Existence. The tour, which features support from Carnifex, Extermination Dismemberment, and Mauled, is scheduled to run through Oct. 3, with stops across the United States and Canada.
With the band promising a second new song if they reach their crowdfunding goal, fans have responded with overwhelming enthusiasm. As the group continues to share their story and prepare for the future, it is clear that the deathcore community is ready to welcome them back with open arms.
