Queens of the Stone Age have officially announced their upcoming studio album, Perfecth, which is scheduled for release on October 30. The title, a unique term coined by frontman Josh Homme, reflects the complex duality of the human experience.
“Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth,'” Homme stated. “And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone.”
A Diverse Sonic Landscape
Homme emphasized that the new record explores a wide range of musical territory. “Every song sounds like it’s from a different world,” he explained. “And that’s on purpose, because it’s trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness, and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that.”
Fans can get an early taste of the album with the lead single, “Insignificant Other.” Describing the track, Homme noted, “It’s a song about distance. About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that.”
Touring and Future Plans
The band is set to resume their North American stadium tour alongside Foo Fighters on September 15. Following these dates, the group will embark on a series of performances across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore. According to the official press release, additional headline shows for 2027 are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
