New York’s Raavi are back with their first new music since 2024’s The Upside EP. On Friday (Aug. 14), the indie-pop band returned with the sprawling, gorgeous tune “second thoughts,” which is the first taste of something new coming soon. It’s a relaxed, meditative track, with Raavi Sita’s hypnotic vocals as the centerpiece as she sings of jealousy, wine, and skinny dipping, before the guitars build into a swift storm around her.
The release arrives alongside a music video directed by fellow musician Nara Avakian, perfectly capturing the song’s introspective and atmospheric quality. As the band prepares for future projects, “second thoughts” serves as a compelling reminder of their ability to blend intimate storytelling with dynamic, evolving instrumentation.
