The viral moment in question features audience members passing around a cardboard box containing a plastic bag of what appears to be urine. Though the box provided a thin layer of separation, videos circulating on social media show the plastic bag hanging precariously over the side as it was maneuvered through the dense crowd.
A couple of social media posts captured the incident, drawing immediate backlash. One Instagram video from the account @edmtrain was captioned, “Passing a bag of PEE through the crowd is NOT okay.” A second video, courtesy of @windycityraves, echoed the sentiment, labeling the act as “DIABOLICAL.”

While the individual responsible may have intended to avoid leaving their spot to use a restroom, the consensus among the festival community is that this behavior is a severe breach of concert etiquette. Many have taken to social media to express their disgust.
“At almost 39 years old I think it’s safe to use the term ‘in my day,'” one commenter shared on the @edmtrain post. “In my day we used to just fight the crowd to go to the bathroom and then find our way back like normal people. This is nasty AF.” Another attendee added, “It’s truly sad that people are ruining the festival experience. Do better y’all. If you can’t hold your bladder, stay home or get a diaper.”
The frustration is palpable, with many questioning the lack of basic consideration for others in the crowd. As one user pointed out, the standard expectation remains: “Yeah absolutely the f— not, have a friend hold your spot and go use the bathroom. That’s not okay.”
