Washington, D.C.’s own LB199X closed out 2019 by dropping his COLOR US EP. A few months after its release, the Guin Records artist revisits the project with a video for the Ayaana Nash-assisted cut “Sorry.”
“‘Sorry’ represents who I’m becoming as a writer, creator, musician and artist,” LB199X tells GroovyTracks. “‘Sorry’ is a statement to the world, to anyone who is listening or who might be judging me, that I’m sorry you feel that way, but I’m gonna say what I have to say — and I don’t give a fuck if you like it or not.”
He adds, “I’m serving it to the people so smoothly, so sweet, that you may not realize at first the gravity of what I’m saying. But that’s what’s really going on, that’s my point of view, and I’m standing behind it 10 toes down. You win some, you lose some — I’m sorry.”
