
It has been a monumental week for live music, with 21 new rock and metal tours announced alongside several major festival and cruise updates. Fans have plenty to look forward to, with some lineups already extending into 2027.
Among the most exciting developments is the return of the iconic Taste of Chaos traveling tour after a decade-long hiatus. The revival will be co-headlined by Hollywood Undead and In This Moment, promising a high-energy run this fall.
Mastodon is also hitting the road again, bolstered by the release of new material, while Motionless in White has confirmed another North American leg of their tour running from late October through November. Additionally, the rising theatric metal act Castle Rat has announced a headlining fall tour.

Festival and Special Event Updates
The festival circuit is also heating up. Maryland Deathfest has revealed the first wave of bands for its 2027 edition, including Candlemass, Enslaved, and Voivod. Meanwhile, the third annual Ceremony Festival is set for October 17 in Nashville, and the Cruise to the Edge lineup for 2027 has been unveiled, featuring Kansas and Steve Hackett.
Other notable events include the return of Rock Lansing on August 1, the Mile High Power Fest on August 15, and the Endless Fires Festival featuring GWAR and Three 6 Mafia.
