With 4/20 being the ultimate smoker’s holiday (4/20), weed aficionado Wiz Khalifa is celebrating in a big way with his new EP, The Saga of Wiz Khalifa.
Khalifa’s seven-track effort features Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, Quavo, Logic and more. Wiz also reels in Mustard, Hitmaka, and D.A. Doman on the production side. Wiz’s previously released single “Contact” resides on the project, along with a remake of Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E,” aptly titled “Still Wiz.”
Later today, at 4:15 p.m. PT, Wiz will be celebrating the release with a 20-minute DJ set on Weedmaps’ “Higher Together: Sessions from Home” live-streamed event.
Last week, Khalifa celebrated the 10th anniversary of his revered mixtape, Kush and Orange Juice. He partnered up with Rostrum Records to release the mixtape on vinyl. “The release of Kush & Orange Juice was a watershed moment for Wiz’s career and for the art of mixtapes in general,” said Benjy Grinberg in a press release. “It was during the making of this tape that Wiz really hit his stride, and, to this day, it’s one of the best albums that’s ever been made. Kush & Orange Juice changed all of our lives, and it will always hold a special place in the history of hip hop.”
