Louisiana based artist Wankie has been moving fast with an unmatchable precision and a strong ambition. Her latest album, Hood Chronicles, sees her sharing her personal story with the public, with a special emphasis on the difficult conditions of being raised in one the most dangerous neighborhoods of Louisiana’s Shreveport.
Down to earth and yet fully aware of her unique skills, Wankie has first carefully listened to some of the greatest artists out there such as Nas, Master P, and the Ghetto Twinz, which inspired her to follow her own path and create her own sound, lyrics, and vibe.
