Before The Weeknd presents his fourth studio album After Hours on Friday, the singer dedicated his upcoming effort to a fan who recently died.
“RIP LANCE aka XOPODCAST. you were one of the true original backbones of my XO fan base,” The Weeknd tweeted on Thursday (March 19). “Can’t believe i’m finding out about this today. I’m dedicating After Hours to you, my friend.”
Lance was a significant supporter of The Weeknd’s, running both the XO Podcast and its @TheXOPodcast2 Twitter page. XO affiliate Belly lent his support as well, tweeting: “RIP Lance.. always showed love and went hard for this xo shit. you will be missed #xopodcastforever.”
After Hours serves as the follow-up to The Weeknd’s 2016 album Starboy, which boasted hits such as the title track and “I Feel It Coming.”
