Singer Sadé Awele announces the release of her latest single and music video titled “Care,” featuring Bamzy which represents a compelling fusion of Afro-Soul and R&B elements.
The music video is an ode to individuality, stripping off the labels she is bound by. While on the song Awele tries out a more laid-back, breezy, and summery vibe with a strong presence of African motives and beats which must be of no surprise to the people who are familiar with her Nigerian roots and Yoruba and Ibo heritage inspiration. On this beautifully produced track, thanks to her versatility, Sadé Awele embraces the R’n’B and Afrosoul genres while effortlessly elevating them.
Taking a look back at her past releases like “Apple Pie” or “The Way” ft. RDGO, as well as her constant hard work, we can see once more how this variety of genres with their influences suit her. “Care” is certainly not flawless, but it shows she is maturing as an artist and does deliver some absolute gems.
