Poison‘s Rikki Rocket has opened up about a band reunion and has confirmed that the 80s rockers will regroup in 2026.

In a new interview with SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with host Eddie Trunk, the drummer guaranteed fans that the glam metal icons would be returning in 2026 with the group’s full line-up of Bret Michaels, Bobby Dall, C.C. DeVille and Rocket all on board.

During the chat, Trunk read a text message he had recieced from Michaels – Poison’s frontman – prior to filming the episode. “When I announced on socials about a week ago when I knew you were gonna come on today,” Trunk said. “Bret sent me a text, Bret Michaels a day or two ago, and he said, ‘Hey, I hear you’re gonna have Rikki Rockett on. Send him my love and tell him Poison 2026.’ What are your thoughts on that? Are you hopeful of that?”

Rockett replied: “Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. ’26 is for sure gonna happen and like, I mean, unless some unforeseen thing happens, but all band members have stuck their hand in and said, ‘Yeah, we’re definitely doing it without a doubt.’”

The band’s last time touring was back in 2022 when they joined Def Leopard and Mötley Crüe’s stadium tour as opening support that year. Poison’s last full length release was their seventh studio LP,  2007’s ‘Poison’d!’.

Elsewhere, Michaels has worked on his solo career which saw him release four studio albums: 2003’s ‘Songs of Life’, 2005’s ‘Freedom of Sound’, 2010’s ‘Custom Built’ and 2013’s ‘Jammin’ with Friends’.

He has had a couple of health issues as of late including diabetes, a brain hemorrhage, skin cancer, and what Bret has dubbed “headbanger’s neck.”

Earlier this year, the singer took to his official website to announce that he will be taking 2025 to focus “to recharge the batteries,” and teased the possiblitily of some Poison reunion dates for next year.

“In 2025, in light of some recent medical results and setbacks,” Michaels wrote. “And with much discussion and real advice from my doctors and family, I will be taking most, if not all, of 2025 off, except for a few select dates with both the Bret Michaels Band and possibly all original Poison.”
