Pink Sweat$ set the stage for his anticipated debut album with the release of the touching “17” on Friday (Feb. 28). A coinciding visual also arrived the very same day, which is sure to tug on your heartstrings, as Pink depicts a romantic love story.
The Philly crooner paints a dreamlike picture of a couple falling in love as high school sweethearts, but also having the chance to start a family and grow old together, all of while still maintaining that same affection for one another as the years go by.
Of course, the tender ballad’s visual is a pink-themed affair, as Sweat$ bakes a cake for his soulmate’s 71st birthday and takes us back to the fuchsia decor lining their wedding ceremony. “Every time you touch me/ You remind me that I’m still alive,” he sings on the opening verse.
Sweat$ is slated to release his debut LP this summer, which is tentatively titled Pink Planet. The 28-year-old will also be hitting the Coachella and Governors Ball stages this year.
