has passed away at age 76. He wasn’t just the Prince of Darkness… he was the undisputed king of heavy metal. The icon enjoyed over 55 years at the top of the music business, from founding the legendary metal blueprinters Black Sabbath to accomplishing metal’s most acclaimed solo career.

Osbourne performed his final show just weeks before his death, raising over $190 million for charity and reuniting the original lineup of Black Sabbath after decades apart. Suffering from numerous health issues at the time, including Parkinson’s Disease, Ozzy fought a long and brave battle to return to the stage for one more night — and he received the fairytale ending a legend of his stature deserved.

Ozzy and his family also succeeded wildly in the world of television. The Osbournes pioneered the reality TV revolution and allowed the world to see the good, bad and ugly of their unscripted family life.     Ozzy doing “War Games” for 2022 Survivor Series: War Games? Epic! Though Oz wasn’t in proper health to perform live on this occasion, he filmed an awesome opening to the PLE, singing the Black Sabbath classic.

  • Ozzy and Sharon Guest Host RAW

    Not every Raw guest host was slam dunk, but Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were a treat for the WWE Universe. In this segment, Ozzy got to interact with The Miz, Big Show, DX and more. Santino Marella even cosplayed as Ozzy after the real Prince of Darkness gave the crowd a full-throated “Sharon!”

  • Ozzy Backs the Bulldogs at WrestleMania 2

    Ozzy’s first appearance in WWE goes all the way back to WrestleMania 2, when he joined Captain Lou Albano to manage the British Bulldogs on their way to defeating the Dream Team for the WWF Tag Team Titles. According to a recent interview with Dynamite Kid’s daughter, Ozzy personally called Vince to request to manage the Bulldogs.

  • ‘I Don’t Wanna Stop’ on Smackdown

    Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band gave a killer live performance on a 2007 episode of Smackdown. With Zakk Wylde on guitar, Ozzy and the boys played “I Don’t Wanna Stop” with full flame pyro and a giant steel rig that spelled ‘Ozzy.’

  • Hall of Fame 2021

    Ozzy accepted a well-deserved induction into the WWE Hall of Fame at its 2021 ceremony. The metal icon delivered his acceptance speech into the Celebrity Wing via a taped message, as COVID restrictions prevented a live audience from attending.
