Following a legal battle with her record label, Megan Thee Stallion unveiled her debut album Suga first thing Friday (March 6).
The release comes after the “Hot Girl” rapper was granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) against 1501 Certified Entertainment, claiming her label was instructing her distribution company “not to release or distribute any of her new music.”
When 1501 CEO Carl Crawford asked the court to dismiss the TRO, accusing the singer of a “systematic breach of her contractual obligations,” a Texas judge ruled that they could not prevent the star from releasing the album as planned.
Regardless of the drama, Suga is here, featuring previously released lead single “B.I.T.C.H.”
