Master P aimed to expose the truth behind reality television Instagram on Sunday (May 17). A few months after he explained why he and Romeo Miller quit WE tv’s Growing Up Hip Hop show, the No Limit Records founder shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the issues that led to their departure.

“I’m only showing you this so next time you’re watching this show you can use your real judgement and see how they flip peoples words and change positive moments into negative,” he wrote in the caption. “This is the reason we quit 6 months ago. They edit for drama, we have more important things to worry about than fake producers creating fake love stories.”

I'm only showing you this so next time you’re watching this show you can use your real judgement and see how they flip peoples words and change positive moments into negative. This is the reason we quit 6 months ago. They edit for drama, we have more important things to worry about than fake producers creating fake love stories. The only way to change this is with ownership. I'm putting my trust in God. Never let these devils play with your mind for a little piece of bread. That’s the real reason my son didn’t want to talk on camera anymore because he knew that his words would be altered like they did mine. I'm praying for the Simmon's family and the other families on the show, so they can see through this Bs too. #Weallwegot #FamilyOverEverything @romeomiller

In the footage, P is seen arguing with a Growing Up Hip Hop producer about the show. The Hip Hop mogul voiced his displeasure with a romantic storyline being manufactured between his son and Angela Simmons. Romeo also brought up his problems with the reality series “playing” with his faith in God.

“The only way to change this is with ownership,” P noted Instagram. “I’m putting my trust in God. Never let these devils play with your mind for a little piece of bread. That’s the real reason my son didn’t want to talk on camera anymore because he knew that his words would be altered like they did mine. I’m praying for the Simmon’s family and the other families on the show, so they can see through this Bs too. #Weallwegot #FamilyOverEverything @romeomiller.”

P and Romeo previously addressed their Growing Up Hip Hop exit during a Breakfast Club interview in March.

“They wanna see drama,” Romeo said. “Reality [TV] thinks the only way to be successful is to see drama. The truth is me and my pops, we butt heads, but at the end of the day, I mean we gonna keep it 100 with each other. It’s not always ‘I agree with him, he agree with me,’ but we gonna speak our opinion. So, it’s just about fake drama … There’s real things going on in the world.”

According to P, the two were lucky to be in a position where they could leave the show. He realized their financial situation allowed them to move on when others would’ve been forced to play along for the money.

“God has blessed us,” the veteran executive told The Breakfast Club. “We got so many things going on to where we don’t have to do stuff that’s negative that go [against] our family values.”
