Louis the Child is best known for pop-forward dance productions that get girls dancing, but the duo's latest track is down-low bass rumbling meanness that'll have ya girl's boyfriend asking for the replay.

“Shake Something” is a cool crowd-pleaser featuring Chicago MC Joey Purp. It's nasty. So nasty that Zane Lowe had to name it his World Record on Beats 1 Radio.

“We’ve been really big fans Joey for a minute,” Louis the Child's Robby Hauldren says. “We think he’s a really, really, really incredible rapper. We think he’s definitely next up and it just made sense to work with him.”

“We’ve been wanting to work with him for a long time,” Louis the Child's Freddy Kennett continues. “It’s exciting to have a song coming out.”

The guys actually got in the studio with Purp and have a few more collaborations with him in the works. Louis the Child has told Lowe it's got four or five more tracks almost ready for audiences, and that 2018 is a year in which the duo wants to release as many tracks as possible – even put out a huge album as big as 18 or so tracks.

Of course Lowe got the serious scoop. Listen to the full interview and the teaser “Shake Something” with Joey Purp below.
