Lil Nas X took to social media to celebrate his birthday on Thursday (April 9) with the help of an old friend from Sesame Street.

“Bringing in my 21st with my day 1,” the rapper captioned a funny video of himself blowing out a candle on a lone piece of bread, while holding an Elmo doll designed by pop artist KAWS. As Doja Cat‘s “Say So” plays in the background, Lil Nas X cuts off a piece of the bread with a fork and knife, and playfully tries to feed the stuffed animal before taking the bite for himself.

An hour later, the two-time Grammy winner posted a separate video of himself and Elmo taking the party to another level. “Quarantine birthday turn up,” he wrote while he and the doll laid silently on the floor as strobe lights flashed along to club-banging house music.

Lil Nas X’s socially-distanced birthday arrives just days after he marked the one-year anniversary of the “Old Town Road” remix, his genre-defying, Billy Ray Cyrus-assisted breakout hit that went on to shatter the long-standing record held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men‘s “One Sweet Day” for most weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.
