New reports suggest Lewis Capaldi could be performing a secret set at Glastonbury 2025 to complete a previous performance at the festival.

Back in 2023, Capaldi performed at the festival and struggled with his voice several times, struggling with tics caused by Tourette’s, the neurological condition he has open about suffering with.

He told the Worthy Farm crowd at the time his voice was “really fucking packing in”, but went on to finish the rest of his set with help from the audience, in a moment that was later hailed as “amazingly powerful”.

That year’s performance also saw him address the break he took prior to the Pyramid Stage slot, after he cancelled a series of shows in the run up to the festival. “I recently took three weeks off,” he explained. “It was a break for my mental health and stuff.”

“I wanted to come back and do Glasto ’cause it’s so incredible, so I just wanna thank you for watching us. I was shit scared but you’ve really made me feel at ease. I’m really sorry. I hope the Eavises will have me back on, even though it’s been a bit of a shit show,” he added.

Now, the Daily Mail have claimed the Eavis family are indeed set to welcome him back to the festival. According to the publication, Capaldi will perform in the secret slot at the festival’s Pyramid Stage after Alanis Morrisette on Friday, June 27.

Their claims follow organisers sharing the full line-up, which this year includes 56 “TBA” acts – with fans having already spotted the glaring ‘TBA’ gap beside Morrissette‘s set – as well as mysterious guest called “Patchwork”.

The year Capaldi last performed at the festival, Glastonbury platformed another mysterious band at the Pyramid in the Churnups, who turned out to be the Foo Fighters. This year, it’s been speculated Patchwork could actually be Haim – who are playing an isolated one-off date in Margate on June 27 ahead of their ‘I Quit’ tour starting in September.

Some have also speculated Sam Fender may make an appearance at the festival. Amidst his giant summer outdoor shows this year, there’s a hefty Glasto-sized gap in his touring schedule. Similarly, Robbie Williams also has a gap in his huge UK, Ireland and Europe tour for a potential Glastonbury gig.

Likewise, Pulp are also tipped for a secret set, with their UK tour leading up to Glasto and fresh from the release of ‘More’ – their first album in 24 years.

Meanwhile, there is also talk of Lorde performing a secret show at the festival following the news of her highly-anticipated new album ‘Virgin’. She last played in 2022, and has already hinted that she is “pretty keen” to perform a secret set.
