It's been well over a month since the death of Juice WRLD on Dec. 8, and on Wednesday (Jan. 22), the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office revealed that the rapper — born Jarad Higgins — died due to oxycodone and codeine toxicity.
"The Medical Examiner's Office has determined the cause and manner of death of 21-year-old Jarad A. Higgins. Higgins died as a result of oxycodone and codeine toxicity," the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office revealed. The Examiner's Office also ruled Juice's death to be an "accident."
Juice was just 21 at the time of his death. While traveling home to Chicago on a flight from LA during the early hours of Dec. 8, the "Lucid Dreams" artist suffered a seizure at the Midway International Airport. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead hours later.
