Joyner Lucas‘ big day has arrived. After experiencing label issues with Atlantic Records and delays with his long-awaited debut album ADHD, the cerebral MC dashes to the finish line with his 18-track effort Friday (March 27).

The album boasts appearances from the likes of Logic, Young Thug and Chris Brown. He also enlists actors Kevin Hart and Chris Tucker, who provide hilarious skits.

Earlier in the week, Lucas won fans over with his innovative video “Will,” which pays homage to Will Smith and some of his classic roles, including Mike Lowrey in Bad Boys and Agent J in Men In Black. Smith lauded Lucas on Instagram for his sharp lyricism and brilliance, saying he was “humbled” and ‘honored” by the fitting tribute.

Thursday night, Lucas reflected on his journey and why ADHD serves as a massive landmark in his career.

“MY FIRST ALBUM is dropping at 12am midnight and I feel too many emotions to explain.. i used to dream about this s–t man.. if you guys only knew what I been through and what it took to get to this point,” he wrote on Facebook and Instagram alongside a photo of himself with his little boy. “I used to think my success wouldn’t be possible without a record label. I am 100% independant with no label support. This is me jumping out the window and believing in myself. Everything I do I do for my son. I put my blood sweat and tears into this s–t. See you at midnight.”
