It's Friday, and you know what that means: new tunes. This week's New Music Friday is star-studded, and Billboard is doing a deep dive into the biggest releases from Selena Gomez, Drake and Future, and more on First Stream Live.
In this week's episode, Future talks to Billboard about the importance of collaborating and "having that partner that you gel well together with." We also revisit interviews with Moneybagg Yo and Megan Thee Stallion, who teamed up on Moneybagg's new album Time Served. Megan Thee Stallion also has her own new song out today (Jan. 10), the highly anticipated Normani collaboration "Diamonds" from the upcoming DC film Birds of Prey.
But none of today's releases were quite as eagerly awaited as Selena Gomez's third album, Rare. Gomez partnered with iHeartRadio for an exclusive album release party on the eve of Rare's arrival, and First Stream Live has a clip of her interview from both that event and her chat with Zane Lowe in October on how Taylor Swift feels about the album. Billboard's Jason Lipshutz — a veteran Selena Gomez stan — also shares his thoughts on Gomez's vulnerability on her latest effort.
Elsewhere in this week's podcast, hosts Chelsea Briggs and Fernando Ventura break down Khalid's new track "Eleven," Halsey's latest Manic release "You Should Be Sad," and 070 Shake's new song and video "Guilty Conscience." And with this being the inaugural First Stream Live episode of 2020, the podcast also covers Justin Bieber's "Yummy" and Travis Scott's Jackboys project (with Sheck Wes, Don Toliver and Chase B), which both arrived last week.
