Could new music from Khalid be on the way?
In a new financial statement released by Sony on Tuesday (Feb. 4), the hip-hop star's name is listed under a section titled "Selected upcoming releases anticipated over the next six months" alongside just-released projects by Meghan Trainor (Treat Myself) and Kesha (High Road) and Alicia Keys' upcoming seventh studio album, Alicia.
While no specific release date is mentioned on the report, Khalid, who is signed to RCA Records, has already released a pair of singles over the past few months — "Up All Night" and "Eleven." Late last month, he also teased a new collaboration with Disclosure "coming very very soon" titled "Know Your Worth" on Twitter.
Any new project would serve as a follow-up to Khalid's 2019 sophomore album, Free Spirit, which earned the singer his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit, Grammy-nominated single "Talk."
