Only, you know, she says it a bit spicier.
In case you forgot, Nicki Minaj is here to remind you that she's the queen. Only Nicki says it a bit dirtier than that. Just days after her heated online exchange with ex Meek Mill and some controversy over leaked lyrics from the song that mention civil rights icon Rosa Parks, Minaj dropped the booming "Yikes" early Friday morning (Feb. 7).
"Don't ever f—ing play with me/ Ya'll n—-s know, ya'll b—-es know I'm the f—ing queen/ You hoe b—-es know, you dirty bum b—-es know," she spits in the intro to the song produced by Pooh Beatz. "I just hit 'em with the low-cut/ Then call my folks up/ Somebody 'bout to get poked up/ We'll call a tow truck/ All that talkin' out ya neck might get your throat cut," she raps over the click-clack beat and spare keyboards.
The Parks lyric comes soon after, with Minaj rapping, "All you b—-es Rosa Parks, uh-oh, get your ass up," in the song that dropped just days after what would have been Parks' 107th birthday. In case you were wondering, Minaj spends just under three minutes assuring you she's still got it and you still don't. "Yikes, I play tag and you it for life/ Yikes, you a clown you do it for likes," she says, ending with the hard period, "It's quiet, ain't no back talk."
At press time it was unclear if "Yikes" will appear on Minaj's untitled fifth album, the follow-up to 2018's Queen.
