Gorillaz announced the upcoming release of their first-ever annual publication, Gorillaz Almanac, on Tuesday (May 26).

The hardcover Almanac will feature more than 120 pages of exclusive artwork, puzzles and one-of-a-kind games, as well as a new comic strip starring band members 2D, Noodle, Murdoc Niccals and Russel Hobbs, and guest appearances by the band’s many collaborators over the years.

“Every fan of comics and animation has dreamed of seeing the Gorillaz make their comic book debut, with the Z2 team chief among them,” said Z2 publisher Josh Frankel in a statement. “The artwork, the music and the mythos all add up to what is destined to be one of our most buzzed-about releases in history, and when fans see just what we have planned, I know everyone will agree it was well worth the wait.”

The virtual British rockers are currently in the midst of rolling out their latest project, Song Machine, a series of singles and music videos that are set to drop throughout the rest of 2020. Their most recent album, 2018’s The Now Now, features George Benson-assisted lead single “Humility” as well as the Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle collaboration “Hollywood.”

Gorillaz Almanac will hit bookshelves some time in October 2020 and can be pre-ordered here. Get a first look at the book’s cover art below.
