Coldplay‘s Chris Martin has apparently been spotted handing out LED wristbands to festivalgoers for their historic headline show tonight (June 29).

The band will be playing their record-breaking fifth headline slot at the Pyramid Stage tonight, which will cement them as the band who have headlined Worthy Farm the most. Along with last night’s headliner Dua Lipa, they will become one of the first acts to have their Glastonbury sets streamed globally.

Now, in preparation for their set tonight, frontman Chris Martin has been spotted handing out Coldplay’s famous Xyloband wristbands. These wristbands will glow in colour in time with the beat and are a staple of Coldplay’s performance, with the band having recently introduced a recycling scheme for them.

According to @secretglasto, Martin was also spotted trying to “convince undecided voters to watch Coldplay tonight”.

Speaking in the BBC documentary Coldplay: Our Glastonbury, Martin recalled: “The hunger to go there was so huge. Our first introduction, I think, was probably carrying a not-very-good amplifier with a drunken tour manager who, you know, obviously didn’t know what he was doing either.

“So we sort of had a very quick intake of the whole place, and then started where you should start, which is in the New Bands Tent, first on. I don’t think I thought about the wider, how wild it was. It was just like we were here and we’re late and it’s huge.”
