Father John Misty is helping out with coronavirus relief efforts by dropping a surprise live album and donating the proceeds to an organization aiding the music industry in these trying times.

On Monday (March 23), Misty — a.k.a. Joshua Tillman — announced that Off-Key From Hamburg, his first live album, is now available for purchase via Bandcamp. Recorded in August 2019 with his longtime band and the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt orchestra, Off-Key in Hamburg‘s 20 tracks feature selections from Tillman’s four albums (including six live renditions of songs from his 2018 LP God’s Favorite Customer).

All proceeds from Off-Key in Hamburg benefit MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund, which seeks to support those feeling the devastating impact of the global pandemic due to the tour postponements, festival cancelations and massive losses they’ve incurred in other ways directly stemming from the spread of the virus.

Tillman found a like-minded partner in Bandcamp as well, as the retailer and outlet rallied behind the community themselves last week when it waived its revenue share on March 20 to maximize profits for artists selling music on their platform.
